Modern Slavery Statement — Manwithvan Wimbledon
Our Position and Purpose
Manwithvan Wimbledon (also referred to as Man With Van Wimbledon and sometimes abbreviated MWV Wimbledon) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our operations and supply chains. We operate a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, or exploitation. This statement sets out the steps we have taken and will continue to take to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not occur in our business or supply network.
Scope and Definitions
For the purposes of this statement, "modern slavery" includes forced or compulsory labour, child labour, and human trafficking. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers engaged by Manwithvan Wimbledon and Man-with-van Wimbledon affiliates. We expect suppliers and partners to meet the same standards we set for our own operations and to adhere to the ethical and legal obligations described below.Due Diligence & Supplier Audits
We conduct a risk-based due diligence programme to identify, assess and mitigate modern slavery risks. Our approach combines desktop checks, contractual obligations, and on-site or virtual supplier audits. Suppliers to Manwithvan-Wimbledon are required to provide evidence of working conditions, lawful employment practices, and compliance with relevant labour laws.
Supplier audit activities include:
- Verification of employment documentation and payroll practices;
- Interviews and worker welfare assessments where feasible;
- Contract clauses requiring compliance with our anti-slavery standards and the right to audit;
- Corrective action plans with timelines for remediation when issues are identified.
Our audits are prioritised by risk: geographic, sectoral and spend exposure. We work collaboratively with suppliers to remediate any non-compliance and escalate repeat or serious breaches.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Confidential reporting channels are available to employees, contractors and third parties to raise concerns about suspected modern slavery without fear of retaliation. We promote accessible, secure and confidential mechanisms so that reports can be made anonymously where desired. All reports are investigated promptly and impartially by trained personnel.
How reports are handled:
- All allegations are logged and acknowledged;
- Preliminary assessment determines immediate risk and protective actions for affected individuals;
- Formal investigations are undertaken with documented findings and appropriate remedial or disciplinary actions;
- Where criminal conduct is suspected, we will work with law enforcement and relevant authorities.
We expressly prohibit any form of retaliation or victimisation against anyone who raises concerns in good faith about modern slavery or related unethical practices within Man With Van Wimbledon operations and its supply chain.
Training, Responsibilities and Culture
Training on modern slavery risks and our policy is provided to staff with procurement, HR and supplier management responsibilities. Employees of Manwithvan Wimbledon will receive tailored training to help them recognise warning signs and to understand the processes for escalation and remediation. We foster a culture where ethical conduct is expected and supported at all levels.
Annual Review and Continuous Improvement
We commit to an annual review of this Modern Slavery Statement and our associated policies, procedures and supplier audit outcomes. The review process assesses effectiveness, updates risk assessments, evaluates remediation success, and identifies opportunities for improvement. The senior management team and board representatives review key findings and approve actions to strengthen our controls.Reporting on progress is integrated into corporate governance routines. Metrics tracked include the number of supplier audits completed, instances of non-compliance identified, remedial actions taken, training completion rates and the number of reports received and resolved. Where necessary, we will enhance our supplier standards, contractual terms and due diligence approach to better prevent and address modern slavery risks.
Commitment and Accountability
Manwithvan Wimbledon reaffirms its commitment to eradicating modern slavery from its business and supply chains. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach and expect our partners to share this commitment. Accountability is built into procurement and supplier governance processes to ensure that the principles set out in this statement are implemented consistently across all our activities.We will continue to develop practical measures, collaborate with peers and industry groups, and strengthen our processes to protect the rights and dignity of workers connected to our operations. This statement will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes in our business and the global context of modern slavery risks.
Signed on behalf of the leadership of Manwithvan Wimbledon, this statement represents our ongoing pledge to act ethically and to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not part of our supply chain or services.
